Frequently Asked Questions

FaceMaxx analyzes your facial features across 5 zones — Eyes, Midface, Lower Third, Upper Third, and Miscellaneous — and scores each one on a 1–10 scale. Your photo is processed per-request and is not stored on our servers after the analysis completes.
No. Your photos are never stored on FaceMaxx's servers. When you perform a scan, your photo is sent directly to OpenAI's API for analysis. The resulting scan record (scores and text) is saved locally on your device via AsyncStorage. You have full control to delete your scan history at any time from the Settings screen.
FaceMaxx uses four tiers based on your overall score:
  • Average — Score below 5.0
  • Above Average — Score 5.0 to 7.0
  • High Tier — Score 7.0 to 8.5
  • Elite — Score 8.5 and above
These tiers are meant as motivational benchmarks, not absolute judgments. Many factors affect attractiveness and these scores reflect facial aesthetics only.
For the most accurate analysis:
  • Use good, natural front-facing lighting
  • Keep a neutral expression (relaxed face, mouth closed)
  • Ensure your full face is visible and not obscured by hair or accessories
  • Take the photo straight-on, not at an angle
  • Avoid filters or heavy editing
The 30-Day Challenge is a streak-based consistency tracker. Each day you complete your 6 personalized daily tasks (mewing, jaw exercises, skincare routines, posture work, etc.), your streak grows. The challenge resets if you miss a day. After completing 30 consecutive days, you can start a new challenge round. Consistency is the key to real results — the challenge keeps you accountable.
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
  • iOS: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → FaceMaxx → Cancel
  • Android: Open Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → FaceMaxx → Cancel
You will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. We do not process refunds directly — please contact Apple or Google for refund requests.
Open FaceMaxx and go to the Settings screen. Tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to purchase the subscription. Your access will be restored automatically.
If the scan returns an error or unexpected results:
  • Make sure your face is fully visible in the frame
  • Improve lighting — avoid backlighting or dark environments
  • Grant camera permissions if prompted (Settings → FaceMaxx → Camera)
  • Restart the app and try again
  • Check your internet connection — analysis requires an active connection

FaceMaxx stores all your scan history, challenge progress, and profile data locally on your device. This data is not backed up to a cloud server, which means it cannot be recovered after uninstalling the app. To avoid data loss, do not uninstall the app unless necessary. Your subscription can always be restored via "Restore Purchases."
